Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Summary

  • Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The age, sum assured and other details you enter are not sent to us or stored by us.
  • We have no user accounts, sign-ups or payment forms.
  • We collect only limited technical data needed to run and improve the website, as described below.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

This policy explains what information LIC Premium Calculators (“we”, “us”) handles when you visit our website, and your choices. It is written with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) in mind.

Information you enter in calculators

When you use a calculator, the numbers you type (age, gender, policy term, sum assured, payment mode and so on) are processed by code running on your own device. They are not transmitted to our servers, and we cannot see them.

If you use a “share result” feature, your inputs may be added to the page link so that the person you share it with sees the same scenario. Anyone with that link can see those inputs, so share it only with people you trust. We do not put names, contact details or policy numbers in links.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our pages are delivered by a hosting and content delivery provider. When your browser requests a page, that provider may briefly process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse, and is normally kept only for a limited period.

We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages are useful, for example the number of visits to a page, the country or state of visitors, and the type of device. Where possible we choose tools that do not use cookies, do not track you across other websites and do not identify you personally.

Cookies and local storage

At present the website does not require cookies to work. We may store small preferences, such as your chosen language or last-used calculator inputs, in your browser’s local storage. This stays on your device and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

If we add advertising in future, advertising partners (such as Google) may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted. Before that happens we will update this policy, name the partners involved and, where required, ask for your consent through a cookie banner. You will be able to refuse non-essential cookies.

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and the content of your message. We use this only to reply, to fix any problem you report and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not add you to a mailing list without your consent.

Please do not send policy numbers, bank or card details, Aadhaar, PAN, passwords, OTPs or medical information. We do not need them and never ask for them.

How we use and share information

We use the limited information above to operate, secure and improve the website and to respond to you. We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site (such as hosting, analytics and email providers), under terms that protect it, or when required by law or a lawful request from authorities.

Data retention

Technical logs and analytics data are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, generally not more than 12 months, unless a longer period is required by law. Emails are kept as long as needed to deal with your query and for a reasonable period afterwards.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act, you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you;
  • correct or update inaccurate data;
  • delete your data where we no longer need it;
  • withdraw consent you have given, for example to advertising cookies.

To make a request, email hello@licpremiumcalculator.net. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the period required by law.

Children

This website is intended for adults making insurance decisions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Our pages may link to other sites, such as LIC or government portals. Their privacy practices are their own; please read their policies.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS. Because calculators run on your device and we do not operate accounts, very little personal data reaches us in the first place. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Significant changes, such as adding advertising cookies, will be highlighted on this page.

Contact and grievances

For privacy questions, requests or grievances, email hello@licpremiumcalculator.net with the subject line “Privacy”. You can also see our contact page and Terms of Use.
